Poetry Page

Hello! Welcome to my page of poetry.  Right now, I am still in the process of making this page.  I have included a few poems so far, but I am going to add more soon.  As you probably figured, I like to write poetry.  Well, not just poetry.  I like to write stories, letters, heck even reminders and "To Do" lists!! Maybe someday I'll make a page with some shorts stories by me.  That's why one of my favorite places to visit on the web is LovingYou.com.  If you want me to add the link to your site on one of my pages, just let me know!

Memories of You

When We Met

My True Colors

"Memories of You" by: Jessica Carvalho

While sitting on the soft white sand,

In a vagrant state-of-mind

Memories start to come to me,

In every shape and kind

The waves are lapping on the shore,

Embracing the cooling sand,

Reminding me of your comforting hug,

And your soft and gentle hand

The gentle breeze upon my face,

And blowing through my hair

Reminds me of the sigh of relief,

I'd let out when you were there

The sun now setting on the sea,

Reminds me of your smile

It's golden rays ignite my soul,

Keeping me happy all the while

"When We Met" by: Jessica Carvalho

The first day that we met,

It's somewhat hard to say

I can't forget the way I felt,

When I met you that day

I know that I have loved before,

But never quite this way

Now its time for me to hope,

That you will never stray

I love your bright and friendly smile,

That upbeat way you walk

I smile when I see you make,

Those gestures while you talk

I may not know you well enough,

I may just fall too fast

But these feelings that I have,

Tell me that it could last

"My True Colors" by: Jessica Carvalho

When we first met I may have seemed,

To be quiet, shy, and new

But perhaps I should have opened up,

And let my true self through

I should have let my colors shine,

So you'd see the one true me

Instead I kept it bottled up,

And did not let you see

I made a wish one starry night,

That together we would be

And one week later to my surprise,

That wish came true for me

I had my chance to open up,

So many times to you

You told me it was you, not me,

But I know that's not true

My wish of you one night came true,

But I ruined it all the same

Now you've left me in the rain,

And there's no one I can blame
